Project Objectives

As noted, the basic purpose of a JLUS is to enhance compatibility. More specifically, this can be accomplished by:

  • Increasing understanding of the facility’s missions through education, communication, coordination and cooperation.
  • Accurately identifying relevant issues and the practical means available to address them.
  • Identifying potential areas of mutual benefit with regard to environmental, economic, transportation and/or other areas.
  • Creating an “on-going” structure and process for raising, tracking, mitigating and resolving issues of mutual concern.
