The JLUS program includes a robust and comprehensive public participation component, consisting of a variety of means and methods, all working together throughout the project duration to maximize involvement. These elements include the following:
A Policy Committee comprised of senior staff and elected/appointed officials from the participating communities and other stakeholder groups in the region. Members are responsible for overall project management and act as liasons to their respective communities and organizations.
This Web Page, which will not only contain comprehensive information, updated throughout the project, but will allow comments to be provided via the "contact us" tab.
Media Outreach efforts, intended to educate and inform the community about the project and participation opportunities.
Community meetings and workshops held at critical points in the process for the consultants to present information and receive public input and guidance.
